MBC, Management By Constraints, is a management tool methodology based, used in order to implement FFS’s principles, in solving complex problems within the business market. MBC composed of 3 main elements: guiding principles, analysis tools and software solutions.
MBC defines three types of Constraints: Strategic constraints, Operational constraints and an Active Bottleneck.
An Operational Chain will be considered Optimized if and only if the Strategic Constraint is the Active Bottleneck (as a result, it is equal to the Operational Constraint as well), its service level rate is excellent and it is operating at its lowest expenses cost.
